   as far as I understand, there will be a huge patch that will change the appearance.. you wont be able to play until this patch has been downloaded

   You wont be able to use the new races, or go into the new dungeons/instances/areas until you have the Cataclysm expansion.

   Yeah you’ll have to download/buy the expansion in order to play since the change in the texture on Azeroth is too large.

   Yeah Pretty much there going 2 chance everything in the game for the level 1s well have different place to level up also witch going 2 be kind nice

   Yes, the entire world will change for all players. The whole Azeroth will change when the patch before the expanson pack comes.
   For players that will do high-level quests, the world will change even more because of the phasing terrain.

   Azeroth will change completly for everyone, but outlands is in a different world so i dont beleive it will change at all. But the smallest change that will happen to any country will be people setting up camps and a huge gorge in the middle of it.

   It will be a rather large change, those with the xpac will see all the changes to Azeroth, the others without it will see it as it is currently and not see anyone else.
